A beautiful example of an antique ex voto, in hand-engraved 18k gold with a glass locket compartment, dating back to the 1800s. An ex voto is an offering to a saint or divinity often in gratitude or devotion. Ex votos come in many shapes, this one is in the traditional Sacred Heart with burning flame symbol that has oft been depicted in religious images. In excellent antique condition, with light wear throughout, this ex voto weighs 6 grams.
