This is a really superb example of early 1940s trousseau nightwear in a wonderful soft peach satin fabric. This dress has elasticated sleeves and a smocked elasticated waistline. The ruffle neckline and dainty puff sleeves make this such a charming example especially as it falls to around ankle length and could even be worn as a outerwear. The condition is absolutely superb for something of this age. It has seen very little wear in its lifetime and there are no faults of any note.
